Policies & Other Information

Initial Exam:

Reception AreaThe initial visit is spent conducting a thorough examination. It includes:

  1. A complete medical history to protect your health
  2. X-rays to detect decay and to determine the condition of the supporting bone
  3. A dental cleaning
  4. A clinical exam of the teeth and all soft tissues
  5. Impressions for study models of your teeth, if necessary

As a result of this careful examination, we can determine a practical treatment plan for you. This plan will tell you what treatment is needed, why it is needed, how much it will cost, and how long the treatment will take. If there is more than one method of treatment to be considered, the treatments will be discussed, as well as what can be expected from each service.

Recall Visits:

Preventative dental care is a sound investment and also the most cost efficient. All patients should strive to maintain a regular recall schedule to prevent small problems from becoming major treatment options.

Emergency Care:

We recognize that an emergency situation may arise, and we will do our best to respond to your problem promptly. If you do have such a problem, please call us as early in the day as possible. If the problem arises when the office is closed, the answering service will forward your message to the doctor, or to whomever is on call for the doctor, if he is unavailable.

Office Hours / Appointments
Our offices are generally open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. However, there are variations to this schedule to accommodate patients later in the day, earlier in the day, and on Saturdays. Our offices are generally closed on weekends and major holidays. They are also closed at times when we are away attending continuing education programs to increase our skills and maintain knowledge of the latest developments in order to serve you better. Our answering service will always be available to take messages when the offices are closed.

We try to see all patients on an appointment basis, and we make every effort to honor all time commitments. Office telephone numbers are: (920) 684-8033 (Manitowoc) and (920) 773-2525 (St. Nazianz).
